Nu OriginsLyft Celebrates BlackHistoryMonth By Offering Free Rides to Black Museums, Businesses, and Cultural sites
Lyft is celebrating Black History Month by providing one free ride up to $10* to Black history museums, memorials, and relevant cultural sites, as well as to Black-owned businesses throughout various communities in which they serve.
Lyft made the declaration in a blog post on their site. The ride hailing service said it was important that they do their part to building inclusive and more connected communities while helping to provide greater opportunity for the leaders of tomorrow. The company is also celebrating the one-year anniversary of our partnership with Black Girls Code. To date, it has raised over $350,000 for increasing the representation of African-American women in technology through providing girls with coding skills.
